A statement entrance deserves access control that fits its character. For this recent project in Umdloti, Zapture installed access control on a customer’s large wooden main door, combining a keypad, Hikvision intercom and shear maglock.
The entrance itself is a striking feature: dark timber, substantial proportions and a recessed panel beside the door. Our project photos show how the access equipment sits within that setting, with the intercom and keypad positioned together beside the entrance.

Access control that works with the entrance
This project brought the entry keypad, intercom and locking hardware into one main-door installation. The keypad and Hikvision intercom are visible at the entrance, while the close-up photographs document the locking hardware fitted into the door assembly.
On a feature wooden entrance, the positioning of equipment matters as much as the equipment choice. The finished arrangement keeps the controls together beside the door, allowing the timber entrance to remain the focal point.

A closer look at the locking hardware
A shear maglock formed part of the access-control installation for this substantial wooden door. The photograph below gives a closer view of the hardware rather than a stock product image: these are photographs from the actual Umdloti project.

Planning access control for your property?
Every entrance needs to be assessed on its own merits. Door construction, the available mounting space, daily use and how people should enter and exit all influence the installation plan. If you are upgrading an existing entrance or planning a new one, start with the door and the access requirements.
Zapture installs access control in Durban and surrounding areas. For a project in Umdloti or elsewhere in KZN, contact Zapture to discuss your entrance and request a quote.
